Résumé The present Ordinance establishes the “Nature Park Schaalsee”. Article 2 lays down provisions relating to the surface description and specific demarcation of the Nature Park. In particular, the aim of the Park is to: 1) conserve the unique lake-land countryside in its integrity or to restore it where it is disturbed; 2) conserve or restore the symbiosis of lakes and moor lands and to maintain a rich variety of flora and fauna; 3) preserve the characteristic structures of an ancient rural landscape and thus secure its recreational and educational value; 4) establish the connection to the Schleswig-Holstein Nature Park "Lauenburg Lakes".
