The logo Doc and the indication of related geographical areas are to be assigned exclusively to wines belonging to the first category according to the federal and cantonal legislation. The certification of wines labelled as DOC are solely those produced on the territories and processed in the canton of Ticino and Mesolcina. The wine growing methods have to be those traditional of the region. However, methods suggested by the cantonal Agronomic Research Stations and by consulting bodies may be considered adequate.
