State nature reserve “Big Arctic” shall be located in the Krasnoyarsk area. Reserve shall have the following purposes: (a) conservation of biological diversity, and ecosystem preservation; (b) research; (c) ecological monitoring; (d) ecological education; and (e) training of scientific personnel. The following activities shall be prohibited on the territory of reserve: (a) all types of hunting and fisheries; (b) any activity that can cause modification of the existing hydrological regime of soil; (c) transit passage of cattle; (d) construction; (e) application of chemicals and fertilizers; (f) timber extraction, logging and procurement of non-timber forest products; and (g) introduction and acclimatization of living organisms.
