Résumé

This Order establishes the procedure for the prevention and treatment of anthrax of farm animals. In the process of organization of preventive measures against anthrax must be distinguishes vulnerable points and areas at risk of infection by anthrax. Areas at risk of anthrax shall be considered zones, territories and local communities where have been detected and registered some vulnerable points to anthrax and there is a threat of the infection of livestock by anthrax. It is very important, in case of timely diagnostics of anthrax, the destruction of carcasses of dead animals, disinfection of edifices and equipment, and rehabilitation on infected territory. Case of anthrax shall be subject to mandatory registration by authorized veterinarians. Territory with the indication of burial grounds of dead animals infected by anthrax shall be subject to mandatory mapping. In case of the outbreak of anthrax must be performed immunization of livestock and application of veterinary and sanitary arrangements. Veterinary and sanitary measures shall include: (a) burial of carcasses of dead animals and fencing of the territory of burial grounds; (b) disinfection of the territory on which were detected cases of anthrax, including infected animals and abandoned animals; (c) purchase, storage and trade of raw materials and products of animal origin must be performed under constant control of authorized veterinarians; and (d) in case of infection of livestock shall be prohibited slaughtering of infected animals and use of products of animal origin obtained from infected animals. Livestock in all stockbreeding areas vulnerable to anthrax, including households, shall be subject to mandatory vaccination in accordance with vaccination schedule. Slaughtering for meat of animals vaccinated against anthrax shall be authorized upon expiry of 14 days from the date of vaccination. Natural and legal persons shall be responsible for the performance of preventive measures, including preparation and equipment of burial grounds and biothermic pits for dead animals, compliance with the established sanitary requirements related to slaughtering and processing of meat and meat-based products.
