These Guidelines are mandatory for persons whose activities are related to sewage sludge storage, treatment and recovery, as well as to the authorities controlling these activities and are also applicable to household/utility, industrial and similar sewage sludge. A sludge supplier may transfer sludge only to a person entitled to use it (who has the rehabilitation of harmonized fertilization plan prepared in accordance with the requirements of Paragraph 7 of these Guidelines. The sludge supplier must keep records of the quality of sewage sludge. Sewage sludge must be registered in the accounting journal in accordance with the form contained in the Annex. The following data must be recorded the accounting journal: (a) sludge treatment method; (b) sludge quality indicators; (c) dry matter content (%); (d) organic matter content (%); (d) nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) concentration (mg / kg dry matter); (e) Pb, Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, Zn, Hg concentrations (mg / kg dry matter); (f) results of microbiological-parasitological examinations; and (g) sludge pH.
