Résumé

The system of complex environmental monitoring is a territorial sub-system of the common state system of ecological monitoring. It is functioning for the purpose of the provision of environmental management with information, safe sanitary and epidemiological environment and stable regional development, rational use of natural resources, first of all the unique natural health resorts, ensuring ecologically safe stable regional development with priority development of health resorts and recreational complex. The main tasks of the system are: 1) reception, generalization, analysis of information on the state on environment, natural resources of the Caucasian Mineral Waters and adjoining territories; 2) complex valuation of the state of environment, exposure of negative tendencies and prognostication of the development of ecology on the aforementioned territory; 3)complex valuation of the development of unfavourable natural and anthropogenic processes and phenomena, substantiation of the arrangements for the minimization of ecological damage; 4) exposure and analysis of environmental factors on public health; 5) provision with information of environmental arrangements and programs, including protection of climatic and balneological and recreational resources – mineral waters, therapeutic baths, unique natural landscapes, transparency of the atmosphere.
