Micro-credit loans shall be extended exclusively to the residents of Uzbekistan. Commercial banks shall grant micro-credit loans on a contract basis for a period of three years. Micro-credit loans shall not exceed the equivalent of 10 000 (ten thousand) US dollars at the exchange rate established by the Central Bank. Only 50 percent of the total amount of the loan shall be paid in cash to farmers for the purchase of cattle, poultry, seeds and planting material with a recovery period of 18 months.
