Order No. 277 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food validating the Regulation on veterinary treatment of animals for trade to agricultural organizations and other organizations engaged in agricultural production, and also in case of exchange of animals for stockbreeding and production purposes.

Résumé

Transportation of pedigree animals (including poultry, fur-bearing animals and honey bees) destined for production purpose and for sale to agricultural and other organizations engaged in agricultural production and to natural persons for the aforesaid purposes shall be carried out in conformity with sanitary and veterinary requirements envisaging the preventive arrangements for prophylaxis and liquidation of infectious animal diseases. Only healthy animals that are free from helminths and ectoparasites, including insects – carriers and pathogens of protozoonosis, shall be subject to transportation. Transportation of animals shall be authorized only in the presence of veterinary certificates stating that the place of origin of the animals is free from infectious animal disease. All the animals destined for transportation for animal production purposes must have individual number and must pass compulsory veterinary treatment. Animals selected for trade a month before the transportation must be separated form the other animals and put under prophylactic quarantine. The aforesaid animals must pass daily clinical examination, compulsory checkup prophylactic vaccination and veterinary treatment.
