It establishes that wild animals populating natural habitats and also released to hunting and fishing areas shall be state property forming state hunting and fishing fund. The right to sport and artisanal hunting shall be granted to all citizens of Uzbekistan and foreigners who have paid state fees and hunting permit fees. Hunting permits shall be issued for hunting on allotted hunting grounds. The following activities shall be prohibited: (a) hunting at the distance of less than 300 m from inhabited areas; (b) hunting without hunting permits; (c) hunting in prohibited areas and during prohibited hunting seasons; and (d) hunting with prohibited hunting gear and using prohibited hunting methods. Hunting seasons and game quotas are specified in the Annex 3. Fishing regulation shall be applicable to all inland waters. It concerns industrial fisheries (carried out by organizations on contractual basis), sport and artisanal fishing, stock enhancement and research. Use of explosives, toxic substances and other illegal fishing gear shall be prohibited. Industrial fisheries shall be prohibited throughout the year at Amu-Darya and Syr-Darya rivers.
