Résumé

The expertise is the complex study of the data regarding quality, safety, efficiency of the foodstuffs as declared by the producer of the agricultural commodities and the establishment of the compliance thereof with the provisions of the Ukrainian legislation. The expertise shall be carried out by means of analysis and assessment of physical and chemical, microbiological, toxicological studies and clinical tests. The expertise shall be composed of the following stages: 1) expertise for the purpose of the classification of foodstuffs as agricultural commodities; 2) state sanitary and epidemiological expertise for the purpose of insertion of a foodstuff in the category of agricultural commodities; 3) primary expertise of the documentation submitted by the applicant for the purpose of registration (re-registration) of agricultural commodities; 4) preliminary expertise of the materials and documentation regarding agricultural commodities for the purpose of state registration (re-registration); 5) final study and clinical testing of agricultural commodities for the purpose of state registration (re-registration); 6) quality control of agricultural commodities; 7) examination of reports and elaboration of motivated substantiation of safety, efficiency and quality of agricultural commodities (special expertise). Expertise of foodstuffs for the purpose of classification thereof as for special use means establishment of qualities authorizing classification of agricultural commodities as the category of special use (food additives, infant food, sportsman food, special dietary uses).
