According to the degree of impact on a living organism, pesticides shall be divided into four hazard classes: (a) extremely dangerous; (b) highly dangerous; (c) moderately dangerous; and (d) low hazard. When purchasing a pesticide, it is necessary to verify the compliance of the name and standard, requiring the supplier or manufacturer to have a “Certificate of Conformity” (issued by the relevant authority). It is necessary to carefully read the labeling on the packaging of the drug in order to verify the correctness of its use according to the recommendations. It is prohibited to purchase pesticides in damaged packaging, with no labels or broken seals. Placement of pesticides inside the warehouse should be carried out according to their classification by toxicity, fire and explosion hazard in accordance with the current rules for reception, storage and release. Liquid and powdered preparations should be stored separately (in different sections). When storing it is necessary to carefully monitor the integrity of the container, in case of its damaging thereof, the preparations should be immediately poured into the whole container. It is strictly forbidden to leave pesticides scattered or spilled on the ground. Warning labels shall be applied to the container with the color assigned to each pesticide group: (a) red - herbicides; (b) white - defoliants; (c) black - insecto-acaricides and nematocides; (d) green - fungicides; (e) blue - disinfectants; and (f) yellow - zoocides.
