Résumé

The Method is destined for the determination of scientifically substantiated standards of potable water supply to the population for specific inhabited localities for the purpose of ascertainment of the necessary quantity of potable water supply and for planning of the economic activity of the potable water supply enterprises. The Method is compulsory for scientific research institutions entitled with the task of the elaboration of the standards of potable water supply for specific inhabited areas. Water supply standards determined in conformity with the present Method shall be used for the calculation of the consumption of potable water by the population. Planned balance of water consumption shall be drawn for the purpose of coordination between the rates of water consumption and the rates of water supply. The amount of water supply shall be set with the consideration of the actual state of water supply system, validated standards of potable water, plan of sale of potable water to the users and the arrangements for the reduction and prevention of water losses in the water supply system.
