Résumé The Order sets regulations concerning animal owners and their use and storage of medicines for animals. The Order also provides for the processing on residues in animal products, its control and food businesses self-monitoring of residues in products of animal origin. Animal owners may only keep prescription drugs acquired through veterinary, pharmacy or other distribution activities approved by the Board of Health. The responsible person may only administer medicines she/he completed a course in the use of medicines for production, approved by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration. Products derived from food-producing animals, including meat, milk, eggs, fish and honey, shall not be traded, processed or used for human consumption containing residues of an authorized veterinary medicinal product maximum levels, or if containing residues of substances derived from illegal treatments.
