This Order sets regulations with regard to fishing methods in Randers Fjord – where it is only permitted with the use of weirs, cast/gill nets and with light hand tools. Fishing trap nets and pound nets may be applied for fishing after authorization from the Nature AgriFish Agency. Fishing with gill nets is prohibited from sunrise Sunday to sunrise Monday, as well as fishing with gillnets from the island Piggen (included Grund Fjord) to Randers harbour. The Order applies to Randers Fjord which encompasses the water area east of Randers Bridge, including Grund Fjord, to a line from Sødring Church of the area marked 'Randers Fjord', which is exposed at the outer end of the barrel of the bar, to Udbyhøj on Elkær. The Order establishes preservation seasons for the fishing of perch (15 April - 31 May); for walleye (1-31 May); for salmon and trout (16 November - 1 March); and for trout and salmon which are entirely protected.
