Ecological stations shall carry out the following functions: (a) instrument inspection of the contents of carbon dioxide in exhausts of petrol-powered vehicles; (b) instrument inspection of exhaust opacity of diesel-powered vehicles; (c) inspection of hazardous cargo; and (d) imposition of fines for excessive emissions of hazardous substances to environment.
