Order No. 1 of the Ministry of Civil Protection, Emergency Situations and Mitigation of the Consequences of Natural Disasters validating the Regulation on information of the population on safety status of hazardous sites and living conditions on the territories nearby hazardous sites.

This Order establishes the basic requirements for information of the population on safety status of hazardous sites and living conditions on the territories nearby hazardous sites that use, process, recycle, store or transport of radioactive, hazardous chemical substances and biological agents that can cause risk of emergency situation or disaster, including waterworks subject to certification. It is related to information of the population on: (a) emergency situation risk; (b) safety state of hazardous objects in residential areas; (c) preparedness of resources and manpower for the mitigation of the consequences of potential emergency situations; (d) arrangements for the reduction of emergency risks; and (e) action plan in case of emergency risks. Information of the population shall be carried out through mass media and authorized official publications of the Ministry.
