Résumé This Order, composed of 4 articles, rules on the institution of the Centre for Research and Management of Fisheries – CEPENE, in the Municipality of Caravela, Bahia State. The aim is to produce information supporting the integrated management of wetlands’ ecosystems, to grant sustainable use of natural resources on behalf of local communities and to propose strategies aimed at the preservation and conservation of local species, in cooperation with all relevant authorities at federal, national and local levels.
