Résumé This Act concerns the exploration for and the recovery of minerals, other than petroleum, in the first three nautical miles of the territorial sea in relation to Queensland. It consists of 447 sections and is divided into five Chapters. Chapter 2 is dedicated to the regulation of offshore exploration and mining, including exploration permits, mineral development licences, mining licences and works licences. Chapter 3 is dedicated to registration and dealings, Chapter 4 to administration of the Act and Chapter 5 contains miscellaneous provisions.
