Résumé

The present Regulations implements the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Resources Accord Implementation Act. Any person may apply for a Drilling Programme Authorization by completing and forwarding an application to the Board. Section 6 lists the requirements necessary for such an authorization. No operator shall in a drilling programme use drilling equipment that has not been proven under field conditions unless it has been approved by the Board or any person designated by the Board. The text consists of 203 articles divided into 10 Parts as follows: General (I); Approval to drill or approval to re-enter a well or to drill a test hole (II); Operational requirements (III); Safety and training of personnel (IV); Operational records and reports (V); Well evaluation (VI); Well or test hole termination (VII); Deposition of samples from a well (VIII); Final Well Reports (IX); Offences (X).
