This Norm enters into force on the day of its publication.
Résumé

This Norm regulates the use of fisheries resources and fishing gear established in the Fisheries Agreement by the communities and congregations of the Canaticu River and its effluents. It establishes the Fisheries Agreement in the Canaticu River and its effluents within the area of Curralinho, located in the Island of Marajó - Pará, covering the indigenous communities and local congregations performing fishing resources. The user of Rio Canaticu and its effluents who are fishing within the limits of the area of ​​this fishing agreement (specified in the text) must comply with the rules provisions of this Norm. The use of trammel net and other fishing methods according to the limits established and informed by notice boards, by the riverside communities of the Canaticu River and its effluents is allowed. The capture, slaughter, storage, processing, transport and commercialization of alligators and turtles (tracajá, perema, jabuti, etc.) is prohibited for an indeterminate period, according to wildlife legislation (Federal Law 9.605/1998). The capture, slaughter, storage, processing, transport and commercialization of the aracu and tucunaré is prohibited for a period of one year from the date of publication of this Norm. After the end of this period, aracu fishery will be allowed only in time, place and using fishing gear defined by communities and riverside congregations of the Canaticu River and its effluents, respecting the minimum catch sizes established.
