The District Council may give directions relating to the type of crop to be grown, use of manure or fertilizers, the removal of old plants, weeds or noxious plants and the conservation and use of land (by-law 4). Persons cultivating land under provisions of these by-laws are under obligation to control weeds and to report to the authorized officer on the existence of pests and diseases (by-law 5).
