Sujet Général Mot clé Risques Évaluation/gestion des risques Aire géographique Afrique, Atlantique Nord, Afrique de l'Ouest Résumé This Act establishes the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention with the objectives to protect Nigerians from the impact of communicable diseases of public importance; maintain the highest state of alertness to detect and respond to disease outbreaks and mitigate the health impact of public health disasters, mass morbidity and mortality due to pathogenic, chemical or biological agents; develop and coordinate an information network for the reporting and notification of communicable diseases, among others. The Centre is vested with legal personality. The Act creates a board for the Centre which is to provide supervisory functions, formulate policy, ensure that adequate technical systems are in place, for the daily functioning of the Centre.
