Résumé

The purpose of this Act is to ensure the maintenance of the Niagara Escarpment and land in its vicinity substantially as a continuous natural environment, and to ensure that only such development occurs as is compatible with that natural environment. In particular, section 4 empowers the Minister to establish an advisory committee composed of persons being broadly representative of the people of the Niagara Escarpment Planning Area; to advise and make recommendations to the Minister, as to the amendment and implementation of the Niagara Escarpment Plan, and, finally, to perform any other function assigned to it by the Minister. The text consists of 30 sections.
