Résumé

This first five-year Strategic Plan of the National Water Supply and Sanitation Council (NWASCO), expresses NWASCO commitment to achieving Government’s Vision 2030 of universal access to water supply and sanitation. The National Water Supply and Sanitation Council (NWASCO) was established by the Water Supply and Sanitation Act, No. 28 of 1997 to ensure efficient and sustainable water supply and sanitation service provision through regulation. Four strategic objectives have been developed under the NWASCO rebrand to meet its new commitment of ‘Ensuring Better Services and Fair Value’. This will be underscored by improving the operations of NWASCO to deliver its services, as well as, better regulation; driving positive progression in sector performance and sustainability of service providers; and increasing consumer awareness with customer satisfaction. The four objective are: To Undertake Continuous Regulatory Enhancement; To Ensure Enhanced Efficiency and Financial Viability of Commercial Water Utilities; To Ensure Improved Service Delivery and Sustained Sector Progression; To Improve Operational Efficiency and Effectiveness of NWASCO.
