Résumé

The National Sustainable Tourism Master Plan for Belize aims to achieve a set of quantitative and qualitative specific objectives by 2030 in the field of tourism. The quantitative objectives are defined indicators of tourism intensity; the qualitative objectives are defined as a desired market positioning or tourism vision, strategic market composition and destination development concepts. The 2030 vision of the Plan is that Belize is an exclusive multicultural sustainable destination in the Central American Caribbean; it is a destination where the authenticity and friendliness of its people, coupled with the uniqueness of an exotic natural environment can be actively experienced within a conserved world. Four strategies are outlined. Strategy 2 is focused on integrated destination development (Competitiveness & Sustainability Goal).
