Résumé

The National Strategy for Economic and Social Development (NSESD) 2013-2017, consisting of three Chapters, is organized as follows: the first chapter provides the growth, poverty and inequality profile and outlines the challenges it pays special attention to regional disparities, gender equality, as well as inequalities in the distribution of income and access to basic social services (including: Economic and social diagnosis; Population and access to basic social services; Demographic trend and factors of social exclusion; Inadequate access to basic social services; Growth and monetary poverty; Incidence of poverty; Good Governance and Rule of Law; Preservation and restoration of natural resources, etc). The second chapter describes the Strategy through the long-term vision, the sectoral strategic orientations and the policies and programmes that make them operational (including: Challenges; Public policy efficiency; Viability of the macroeconomic framework; Vision and intervention strategy). Finally, the third chapter outlines the mechanism identified for the implementation of the Strategy.
