Résumé This Act, consisting of 4 Chapters, provides for creation the National River Protection Commission. It establishes the composition, duties and responsibilities of the Commission, entitled to: manage and control water and environmental pollution, caused by industrial pollution of rivers, construction of illegal structures and to prevent irregularities and restore the normal flow of the river, to control flood and drainage; hydrology, the use of surface and ground water; and to examine the equipment used in constructions of waterworks. It also applies to the proper maintenance of waterways necessary to ensure the socio-economic development of a multi-use and rational use of natural resources.
