Résumé The objective of this Act is to foster sustainable energy supply for the people of the Republic in accordance with the provisions of the National Energy Policy. This Act lays down provisions on the establishment and functions of the National Energy Office; appointment and functions of the Director of the National Energy Office; and the establishment and administration of the National Energy Office Fund. The functions of the National Energy Office are listed in Section 104, including but not limited to: the conservation and efficient use of renewable energy; awareness raising on issues related to sources of energy, energy usage and energy conservation; and monitoring of the quality of imported petroleum products in compliance with fuel standards.
