This Resolution enters into force on 10 March 2003.
Résumé

This Law is composed of 26 articles. Article 1 deals with terms and definitions. Article 2 defines fields of application. Article 3 defines kinds of fertilizers and specifies requirements for fertilizers and agricultural amendments. Article 4 lays down requirements, conditions and measures for advertising for fertilizers and agricultural amendments. Article 5 defines requirements and conditions for fertilizers packages and agricultural amendments packages. Article 6 provides for requirements, conditions and measures for the examination, control and analysis of fertilizers and agricultural amendments. Article 7 specifies objectives of the analysis of fertilizers. Article 8 gives the right to concerned persons to objective against analysis results. Article 9 specifies that the complaint should be submitted to the Concerned Department provided with the analysis certificate and a sample. Article 10 defines procedures and steps for repeating the analysis. Article 11 defines measures to be taken against fertilizers and agricultural amendments that are incompatible with the provisions. Article 12 defines requirements and measures for production and manufacturing the fertilizers and agricultural amendments. Article 13 refers to applications and necessary documents for licences. Article 15 prohibits the circulation of fertilizers and agricultural amendments before their registration. Article 19 lists requirements and measures for the importation of fertilizers and agricultural amendments. Articles 20 and 21 pertain to applications, documents and certificate to be provided at the arrival of fertilizers consignments. Article 23 entrusts the Concerned Authorities to control and monitor industries producing fertilizers and agricultural amendments. Article 25 gives all concerned persons residing in UAE 6 months to regulate their activities according to the provisions of this Law.
