This Ministerial Order enters into force on the day of its publication.
Résumé

This Ministerial Order approves (in the Annex) controls to be carried out and hygiene/sanitary requirements to be satisfied by alive and processed bivalve molluscs, echinoderms, tunicates and marine gastropods. This Annex, consisting of 4 Chapters and 1 Appendix, establishes specific hygiene and sanitary requirements for collection, production, handling, processing and putting on the market of alive and processed bivalve molluscs, including import conditions; specific rules for carrying out official inspections in order to assess the implementation of specific hygiene/sanitary measures and all the activities related to this sector. The Annex is divided as follows: General provisions (Chap. I); Official controls in production areas (Chap. II); Hygiene and sanitary requirements (Chap. III); Bivalve molluscs, echinoderms, tunicates and marine gastropods (Chap. IV). The Appendix specifies microbiological controls and maximum limit of microbes contained in molluscs.
