The State Maritime Agency is the main institution responsible for the inspection of ships. This Regulation sets forth provisions on the requirements for the inspectors, the initial and detailed inspection of ships, the terms and conditions for granting or refusal of permission for ship to enter and leave the ports, and the cases of which ships are not allowed to enter the ports. In case of refusal of permission for ship to leave the port, the Flag State, the owner of ship and International Maritime Organization should be informed.
