Entry into force notes
This Decree enters into force upon signature.
Résumé

This Decree sets forth rules and procedures on issuance of special permit to real and legal persons for scientific and experimental research on the use of ionizing radiation sources. The special permit shall be refused in the following cases: (i) failure to submit documents specified herein, (ii) submitting documents including inaccurate information and (iii) in the absence of necessary conditions set forth herein for the applicant to carry out the activity. Special permit holders must carry out the following measures to ensure radiation safety: notifying technical, organizational and technological changes to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, preventing radiation accidents, giving information to the relevant authorities, correcting the deficiencies, meeting the requirements of radiation safety in the storage of radioactive materials and informing the Ministry of Emergency Situations on the movement of radioactive materials in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
