Résumé

This Ministerial Decree stipulates that the Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision Service shall be the authorized federal institution responsible for veterinary measures, plant quarantine and plant protection, ensuring soil fertility of agricultural land, including safe turnover of pesticides and agrochemicals, quality and safety of grain and cereals, and the management of game and its natural habitat. It shall supervise: (a) safe management of pesticides and agrochemicals; (b) selection achievements; and (c) safety of animal drugs, animal feedstuffs and animal food additives manufactured with the use of genetically modified organisms. It also shall issue: (a) hunting licences and authorizations for the management of wild fauna; and (b) permits for the import, export and transit of live animals, animal products, drugs and feedstuffs, and of other commodities subject to quarantine inspection. Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision Service performs performs veterinary and phytosanitary supervision over safety requirements for feed additives and forages made with the use of genetically engineered organisms, as well as state supervision in the field of safe handling of pesticides and agrochemicals within its competence. It issues conclusions on the compliance of manufacturers of medicinal products (drugs) for veterinary application with the requirements of the rules of good manufacturing practice and performs state registration of veterinary drugs.
