Résumé

This Ministerial Decree establishes that “Sanitary and epidemiological requirements for ensuring radiation safety” shall be applicable to projecting, putting in operation and maintenance of radiation objects, handling of radiation sources (radionuclides and radioactive substances), dealing with radioactive waste, contaminated materials and objects, exposure to naturally generated radiation and as a result of nuclear disaster. The scope shall be to ensure protection of staff and population against radiation. Radiation safety of staff, population and environment shall be based upon substantiation (the necessity of application of protective arrangements), optimization (keeping as low as possible either individual or collective radiation exposure levels) and rate setting (control over radiation exposure levels and rates).
