Résumé

The Decree approves the implementation of the national Programme for monitoring and surveillance of classical swine fever (CSF) and swine vesicular disease (SVD) in the entire national territory for the year 2011, according to the terms and procedures prescribed in this Decree. Objective of the Programme is the maintenance of the country’s status as an officially swine fever-free Member State of the European Union within the context of eradication of this animal disease, as established with Commission Decision 90/251/EEC of 22 May 1990. This objective shall be achieved through permanent monitoring and follow-up activities by all competent veterinary authorities and institutions and also by ensuring the maintenance of the veterinary laboratories’ know-how with regard to the methods and techniques used for a fast and reliable diagnosis of such diseases. For the purposes of the present Decree, the definitions of Presidential Decrees Nos. 39/2005, 138/1995 and Commission Decision 2002/106/EC shall apply. The seven Annexes attached to the Decree lay down the technical detailed rules for the implementation of the Programme.
