An introductory report (title I) reviews implementation of the previous plan in some detail, with respect, inter alia, to current research projects, fisheries management, fishing methods, aquaculture, shore facilities, joint ventures and financial incentives. The new plan (title II, first part) gives priority to the renewal of the productive and human resources and the support for aquaculture, processing and marketing and oceanic fishing. The same title (second part) includes a report on the fishing fleet and its development, on catches by fishing method and by species in different waters, on labour force and on the state of living resources in Italian seas by species. The third part establishes a budget including specific management measures and priorities, within the context of existing national and European Community legislation, which is summarized and analysed. Among the issues analysed in this part are legislative provision on fishing licences. A specific section devoted to aquaculture, reporting production data and illustrating possible perspectives in its management. Texte intégral Italien
