Résumé

This Ministerial Decision consists of 5 articles. Article 1 requires that owners of farms and property by roads, streets, and public places in towns and villages remove dry date palms found on their farms and property as they make the landscape look ugly. The Director of Municipalities has the authority to enforce the law in the implementation of the provisions of this Decision and in the case of a violation inform the Wali (art. 2). Articles 3 and 4 deal with violations. The violator is required to remove the date palm within 15 days and if the date palm is not removed the violator will be punished with a fine of 10 Omani Riyals. The municipality in coordination with the Office of the Wali will then remove the date palm at the expense of the violator.
