Résumé This Resolution, comprising three articles, aims to establish the Environmental and Climate Investment Unit within the Ministry of Environment aiming at attracting and stimulating investments in various environmental projects, including mitigation and climate change adaptation projects in the sectors like energy, sustainable agriculture, food production, water, waste management, bioeconomy activities, and ecotourism. Primary objectives of the Unit are as follows (i) achieve low-carbon economic growth to reduce carbon emissions and the carbon footprint; (ii) explore unconventional and innovative solutions; (iii) promote private sector involvement, encourage entrepreneurs and emerging companies to engage in green projects, and foster environmental and climate investment; (iv) collaborate with the banking sector, donor institutions, and financing entities to create viable opportunities for implementing green projects; (v) support the identification of investment opportunities in promising sectors such as waste, energy, and recycling, emphasizing and promoting them; (vi) address challenges and obstacles facing investors, transforming them into opportunities for sustainable development; (vii) facilitate a flexible transition to a green economy in response to climate change.
