Résumé This Act, consisting of 103 sections divided into twelve Parts and completed by one Schedule, provides for the authorization and monitoring of mining activities, the management of mining sites and the protection of the environment in mining sites. The Act defines environmental and safety obligations in relation to mining activities (Part 3), regulates mining activities (Part 4), including authorizations, mining management plans and security. Under Part 6, the Mining Board is established and regulated, while Part 7 is dedicated to the appointment and powers of mining officers.
