Résumé

These Regulations, consisting of 43 sections divided into 17 Parts and completed by three Schedules, regulate and secure the safety and health of persons engaged in mining operations; assist employers and employees to identify and reduce hazards relating to mining operations, by eliminating those risks, or imposing effective controls in order to minimize them. The Regulations are divided as follows: Part 1 Preliminary; Part 2 Administration; Part 3 Management of mines; Part 4 General safety requirements; Part 5 Electricity in mines; Part 6 Safety in using certain types of plant in mines; Part 7 Occupational health; Part 8 Explosives; Part 9 Ventilation and control of dust and atmospheric contaminants; Part 10 Specific requirements for underground mines; Part 11 Winding, winding ropes and signals; Part 12 Shaft sinking; Part 13 Surface mining operations; Part 14 Dredging; Part 15 Railway operations; Part 16 Radiation safety; Part 17 Miscellaneous;
