Milk and Dairies (Scotland) Regulations 1990 (S.I. No. 2507 (S. 209) of 1990). Pays/Territoire Royaume-Uni Sous-division territoriale Scotland Type du document Règlement Date 1990 Source FAO, FAOLEX Sujet Alimentation et nutrition Mot clé Hygiène/procédures sanitaires Lait/produits laitiers Contrôle de qualité alimentaire/innocuité des produits alimentaires Produits alimentaires traités Transformation/manutention Transport/dépôt Autorisation/permis Inspection Aire géographique Îles de l'Océan Atlantique, Europe, Europe et Asie Centrale, Atlantique Nord, Mer du Nord, Atlantique du Nord-Est, Europe du Nord Résumé These Regulations introduce in Scotland a new system of licensing of dairymen instead of the previous system of registration. A dairyman (any person carrying on the business of a dairy) will now be required to have his or her business licensed by the food authority, a food authority being an islands or district council. These Regulations do not apply to shops selling pre-packed milk and consequently the Regulations contain a new definition of “dairy” which excludes shops. the Regulations also provide for inspection of licensed dairies and hygienic conditions of production, handling, storage and sale of milk. Aim of these measures is, among other things to prevent contamination of milk and milk being affected by diseases. Texte intégral Anglais Site web www.opsi.gov.uk
