Part II deals with (i) the registration of Tanzanian ships concerning both individual owners and joint owners; (ii) the amendment of the Register. Part III focuses on qualification and entitlement for registration. At the same time, Part IV regards qualification and entitlement for registration of fishing vessels, providing that the ship shall only be eligible to be registered as a fishing vessel if a representative person is appointed about the vessel as provided in Part V. Part VI regards the procedural matters of the registration, including the allocation of official number and port of choice, marking rules, possible refusal of registration, and registration certificate. Part VII deals with the mortgage issues, while Part VIII regards the provisional registration in cases where the owner intends to register a ship that is outside Tanzania. Part X concerns the requirements for licensing unregistered vessels. Part XII deals with offenses and penalties.
