Résumé

These Regulations, made by the Minister responsible for Maritime Administration, in exercise of the power conferred by sections 93 and 94 of the Merchant Shipping Act 2002, provide for the control of exposure of workers on Bermuda ships to excessive electromagnetic radiation as defined in these Regulations. The Regulations set oy the duties of employers and others in case work is to be carried out which could expose any worker to levels of artificial optical radiation that create a reasonably foreseeable risk of an adverse health effect on that worker. They also define general principles for prevention of risks and provide for health surveillance of workers exposed to radiation.
