The Regulations set maximum limits for various forms of vibration and provide for a risk assessment in order to protect the health of workers. The employer shall ensure that the risks arising from exposure to mechanical vibration which are identified by the risk assessment are either— eliminated at their source; or reduced to a level which is as low as is reasonably practicable.
