Mot clé Pollution de la mer Navigation Collecte de données/déclarations Infractions/sanctions Lutte contre la pollution Substances dangereuses Emballage/étiquetage Aire géographique Asie et Pacifique, Mélanésie, Océanie, Petits états insulaires en développement, Pacifique Sud Résumé These Regulations, made by the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport under section 240 of the Maritime Transport Decree 2013, prescribe- (a) responsibilities of seafarers, ship owners, shippers, consolidators, shipping agents and packers in respect of dangerous goods to be carried by sea; (b) the carriage of dangerous goods requirements of Chapter VII of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea 1974, which covers the carriage of dangerous goods in packaged form or in solid form, in bulk where carriage is to be in accordance with the packaging and stowage requirements of the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG Code); and (c) requirements for the reporting and handling of incidents involving dangerous goods which include the international reporting provisions of SOLAS relating to loss of dangerous goods packages at sea, leakage or spillage at Fiji ports, and it requirement for plans for dealing with dangerous goods incidents in Fiji ports, and which apply to any commercial ship which is a Fiji ship or a foreign ship in Fiji waters.
