The Act provides for the composition of the board, its functions, tenure of office members, proceedings of the Board, etc. The Act provides that a Register should be maintained to keep record of semen collectors, embryo transferors, inovulators, centres, animals registered or approved, for the collection of semen, ova or embryo; and livestock breeders’ societies. The register shall be available to any person upon request. The Act further provides for the registration of livestock breeders’ societies by any group of persons and the procedure for such registrations. The Act repeals the Registration of Livestock Act.
