They establish that these areas are specified by the Dept. of Wildlife, under the Fauna and Flora Protection Ordinance (Chapter 469). The ceramic, tile clay of fiber used as substrates for live rock culture should comply with the standard approved by the National Aquaculture Development Authority. The substrate for live rock culture should be embossed with the seal of the National Aquaculture Development Authority and the Dept. of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources and with the serial number issued by the National Aquaculture Development Authority. Every live rock export should be in accordance with the recommendation of the report of the Mobile Field Inspection Committee appointed by the Director-General of the National Aquaculture Development Authority. No person shall transport any live rock within Sri Lanka without a licence issued by the Director General of National Aquaculture Development Authority. The licence shall be in such form as specified in Schedule I. "Live rock" means a piece of rock encrusted with marine organisms and as many forms of micro and macroscopic marine life that live on and inside such rock, which provides and ideal habitat for marine organisms. The Schedule provides for Licensing requirements to Transport Live Rock Culture within Sri Lanka.
