The present Law enters into force on 5 August 1994.
Résumé

The present Law lays down provisions relating to the supply of water. In particular, it defines the competences and tasks of local authorities and of the Canton to promote a careful use of water such as to safeguard the quality of drinking water. Every township shall keep an updated register of water supplies systems. The Canton is in charge of a general water supply plan to be transmitted to local authorities. The Canton shall also grant subsidies to local authorities relating to implementation expenses. The text consists of 24 articles divided into 4 titles as follows: General provisions (I); Competences and tasks of local authorities (II); Competences and tasks of the Canton (III); Subsidies (IV); Transitional and finale provisions (V).
