Résumé The Law provides for implementation of the EU Regulations regarding infrastructure of fast charging points for pure battery electric vehicles of classes M and N. According to the Law the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure is in charge to provide comprehensive and need-based fast charging information and structure, determining the charging locations, number of fast charging points, the equipment and ancillary systems. The Law further provides for responsibility of this Ministry to define technical, economic and legal conditions for provision of the services through the contracts for supply, coverage, accessibility and performance of this service. The contracts shall be granted through tenders in several lots on federal or state bases. The Law further provides for the Ministry to provide every two years, starting from the year 2024, report on the area coverage, the operation and the technical equipment of the fast charging locations. The Law consists of 10 Articles as: 1. Scope of application; 2. Definitions; 3. Tasks of the Federal Ministry of Traffic and Digital Infrastructure; 4. Selection and assignment of contractors; 5. Ancillary businesses on federal motorways; 6. Existing infrastructure provider; 7. Authorisation to issue ordinances; 8. Loan; 9. Reporting; 10. Entry into force.
