Résumé The present Law lays down provisions relating to the protection of nature and landscape. The Canton and its inhabitants shall take measures for the protection of nature, flora and fauna, as well as of the landscape and its cultural heritage. Furthermore, the Law ensures ecological compensation within and outside the living areas. Article 2 contains the definition of various terms, such as “protected area”, “areas deserving being protected”, “ecological compensation“, ”protected animal and plant species”.
